Heather Branstetter

Heather has been with the clinic since August of 2006. She started as a kennel assistant and later cross-trained as a receptionist and vet tech. She loves doing lab work and is responsible for Gentle Care’s participation in the Morris Animal Foundation’s Canine Lifetime Health Study. Gentle Care Animal Hospital has the most participants in their region for this study thanks to Heather! In her spare time away from work, Heather enjoys volunteering with her dogs for Midsouth Therapy Dogs and Friends.

Bourbon and Heather have been a therapy team for many years and together they have participated in animal-assisted activities and animal-assisted therapy at LeBonheur Children’s Hospital, Lakeside, Ronald McDonald House, Baptist Women’s Hospital, and PEDS. She also enjoys training her other two dogs, Percy and Julep, in obedience, dock diving, and barn hunt activities.
