Dr. Katy Johnson is an Ohio native turned proud Southern transplant by graduating in 2016 with her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Mississippi State University. After graduating from veterinary school, she and her husband (Jake) moved to Memphis where she has been practicing small animal medicine in both general practice and emergency medicine. Dr. Johnson’s interests include soft tissue surgery, preventive care, the human-animal bond, and building lasting relationships with her patients and clients. In Dr. Johnson’s free time, she enjoys spending time in the organized chaos of her feral three sons and the occasional date night with her husband Jake or chasing her dogs and cats around the house to retrieve whatever they have in their mouth. She loves puzzles, reading, and napping. Dr. Johnson can often be found in the t-ball stands or running around on the soccer field with her boys. Additionally, Dr. Johnson and her husband are active members of Waypoint Baptist Church. She’s excited to be part of the Gentle Care family and even more excited to meet you and your four legged loved ones!
